About PlayTips

What this site is

PlayTips maintains game guides that state which build they were checked against, and get re-verified when that build changes. We cover a small number of games properly rather than every game superficially.

What we cover

We track games that receive ongoing patches, because that is where guide accuracy decays fastest and where maintaining a fact database actually pays off. A game that shipped once and will never change again is well served by existing wikis; we add nothing there.

How we work

Our full sourcing and verification process is documented on the methodology page, including how we score source confidence, how we handle contradictory sources, and what happens to a guide when a patch lands.
