Editorial Policy

How PlayTips decides what to publish, how corrections are handled, and how editorial content stays separate from advertising.

Accuracy over speed

We do not publish a claim we cannot source. Where sources conflict, we say so on the page rather than picking whichever version reads better. Where a guide has not been re-checked against the current game build, the page says that too — prominently, at the top.

Corrections

Corrections are applied to the underlying fact record, not just the page where the error was spotted. Because guides are generated from that record, a fix propagates to every page that depends on it. Material corrections are reflected in the page's last-checked date.

Sources

Every guide lists the sources behind it, with the date each was retrieved. We link out to official patch notes and developer communications wherever they exist. We do not copy text from other guides or wikis; we extract structured facts and write our own explanations.

AI disclosure

AI assists with drafting prose from verified facts and with extracting structured data from source material. It is constrained to facts already in our database and is not permitted to supply numbers of its own. Editorial judgement — source trust, dispute resolution, whether a tactic still works — is human. This is described in detail on the methodology page.

Advertising

This site is supported by display advertising. Advertisers have no input into editorial content, and no guide, ranking, or recommendation is influenced by commercial relationships. Ad placements are kept out of the reading flow of instructional content.

Trademarks

Game titles, artwork and trademarks belong to their respective publishers. This site is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by any game developer or publisher.
