Beast of Reincarnation Final Boss: Parry and Dodge Guide
Which final boss attacks you can parry and which you must dodge, plus the stagger route that shuts off its health regeneration. Checked against v1.0.6.
Short answer
The final boss has no elemental weakness. You win by filling the yellow stagger meter to shut off its health regeneration, then punishing. Most deaths come from trying to parry moves that cannot be parried: lightning strikes, the finishing pounce, and the laser must all be avoided instead.
Which attacks can you parry?
This is the single question that decides the fight. Deaths are overwhelmingly caused by attempting to parry a move that was never parryable.
| Attack | Correct response | Tell |
|---|---|---|
| Standard melee combos | Parry | Wind-up into close-range swings |
| Lightning strikes | Dodge | — |
| Finishing pounce | Dodge | — |
| Laser | Step backward | — |
| AoE spell | Dodge forward | Raises its staff, red marker on the ground |
The AoE cannot be blocked or parried. After it resolves, close the distance, land a few hits, then reposition.
The stagger route
The boss regenerates health, so raw damage alone will not close the fight.
- Fill the yellow stagger meter. This is what disables the health regeneration.
- Use your companion’s abilities to fill that meter faster.
- After parrying a combo, spend the opening on Entanglement Overdrive to push stagger further.
- Once regeneration is off, commit to damage.
On the phase count
Sources disagree here, so we are not going to state a number as fact.
One widely-cited guide structures the fight as three phases; another states outright that it has four. The discrepancy most likely comes down to whether the scripted, unwinnable segment is counted as a phase of its own.
What we can say with confidence:
- After the boss’s health is depleted the first time, a cutscene leads into a scripted loss. Winning that segment grants no additional reward, so there is no cost to letting it play out.
- The final segment unlocks Blossoms of Reincarnation, costing two bars of the Entanglement Gauge. Both characters can use it simultaneously for sustained damage.
We will replace this section with a confirmed number once we have verified it in-game.
Version note
Everything above was compiled against game version 1.0.6.
Patch 1.0.7 (10 August 2026) adjusted difficulty and parry-related behaviour. Until we have re-run the fight on 1.0.7, treat the parry/dodge table as provisional — the categories are the most likely thing in this guide to have shifted.
